Resolution of the European Parliament regarding the start of EU accession negotiations

 Excellency,

Dear Madam President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu.

With great joy and satisfaction, we express our gratitude and congratulations on behalf of the Society of Chemists from the Republic of Moldova regarding the European Parliament decision to approve the resolution regarding the start of negotiations for the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union.

This decision is also a recognition of the efforts of the political leadership that managed to register significant progress in the implementation of the nine recommendations of the European Commission, since the moment of obtaining the status of a candidate country.

These advances would not have been possible without the valuable contribution of the people of education, science and culture, business and all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova, who continuously opted to bring our country closer to European standards and values.

It is an honor to note that the Society of Chemists from the Republic of Moldova has also started the accession negotiations to the Society of Chemists from the European Union (EuChemS) and we hope that this decision will be adopted in November.

Today, we are facing a unique opportunity to strengthen our relations with the European Union, and to take the decisive step towards accession. With confidence and optimism, we count on the support of the member states of the European Union in order to obtain a favorable decision during the European Council meeting in December.

This decision will mark the beginning of a new stage in the development of the Republic of Moldova, a stage that will allow us to work together with the member states of the European Union to strengthen our institutions, to promote the necessary reforms and to bring significant benefits to our people.

With gratitude and enthusiasm, we wish you success in your efforts to strengthen the relations of the Republic of Moldova with the European Union, and we are proud to be part of this European journey.
